After your Rejuvenating experience at Chopta, Start your trek early in the morning. The way to the trek to Tungnath & Chandrashila starts from Chopta & is about 6 kms in total. You reach Tungnath Temple first which is 4.5 kms from Chopta.
Now once you have reached Tungnath, the view is breathtaking and you can pay homage to Lord Shiva and adore the beauty of Himalayan peaks, Tungnath is settled at an elevation of 3680 mts above sea level & is believed to be more than 1000 years old and holds a legend that corroborates some of the incidents depicted in the Mahabharata epic.
By now i can tell you that you will be tired of the trek & would give a second thought to Chandrashila trek. Do Not…I Repeat…Do Not..!! be sceptic about the Chandrashila trek.
