Lansdowne – “A Tranquil Hill Station”
Lansdowne is another wonder of nature nestled in the pauri district of uttarakhand. An army cantonment town with scenic views and a smell of pine trees will leave you amazed. It is the best destination for those who seek peace for their weekends and would love to spend time with nature rather than going to a crowded club.
How to Reach :
Located at an altitude of 1,720 m Lansdowne can be reached within 7 hours from Delhi, Nearest airport is at Jolly Grant (I would not prefer that since taking a bus is much more easier).Take a bus from Delhi to Kotdwara or you can drive via Delhi>Meerut>Bijnor>Najibabad>Kotdwara>Lansdowne(whatever suits you) The nearest railway station is in Kotdwara itself. So you can take a train to Kotdwara (If you prefer). After reaching Kotdwara You can use the local transport to reach Lansdowne.
