It acts as a Hub to most of the trails in the Parvati Valley region & is settled just beside the River Parvati. Kasol is very Popular, Especially among all the stoners & Trekkers from round the globe & is occupied mostly by the israelis, who come to kasol after their mandatory military training in israel. The Food & Lodging has never been a problem in Kasol, In Fact, Kasol can offer you some really good & quality food from different countries. Visiting Manikaran from Kasol is an Easy-peasy Hike also you can start your Treks from Kasol to Chalal, Rasol, Malana, Chandrakhani pass, Manikaran, Tosh , Kheerganga & so on. If you already have been to Kasol, I can tell, the Craving of going again is Inevitable & why not..?? The place is a Beauty in itself. And let me remind you of those famous Trance & Psychedelic parties that go on for days & nights & some times weeks. How to Reach Kasol:
By Road – Board a bus to manali, But remember to get down on Bhunter. Or you will be spending the night in manali 🙂. Since there is no Direct bus to Kasol you can Either use Public transport (Bus fare is around 45 INR) or hire a sumo till kasol ( 500 to 1500 INR).
By Air – Bunter is the nearest airport so you can catch a flight till Bhunter and again either use public transport or hire a sumo to reach Kasol.
By Water – There is no such Route 🙂.

There are many Popular Treks starting from Kasol from Easy to Difficult :
– Manikaran Sahib – A Holy place for Sikhs, is the first and the easiest of all hikes from Kasol. About 5 kms from Kasol on a tar coal road you can Easily reach Manikaran & pay homage to the sikh deity. Further from Manikaran is Barshaini (a Trek base for Tosh Village, Kheerganga, Tunda Bhuj, Mantalai lake & More). You can also enjoy Hot Springs in Manikaran.
– Tosh Village – Tosh Village is around 20 kms from Kasol, A mix of Hike, Trek & a Bus Journey. Reach Manikaran on time If you plan for Tosh, Because the last bus to Barshani is around 5:30 pm & Reaching barshani on time is a must if you plan to trek to Tosh the very same day. Tosh village is a less explored gem & is well hidden amidst beautiful mountain fences.
– Kheerganga – Another trek is from Tosh to Kheerganga, 2,960 meters above sea level. This is a moderate trek of 14 km and takes fit and regular travellers about six to seven hours. The place remains snow-covered during whole winters.At the highest point, there is a little pool with natural hot spring water. According to Local Legends, it is believed to be “holy” and also has healing powers. The pool is divided into two sub-pools separately for men and women.
